It was early afternoon on a foggy day in downtown Oakland, California. Lawrence Holbrooke had planned to take his wife and young daughter to see the newest blockbuster for kids, a movie about butterflies of all things. Those plans had been unceremoniously canceled when his wife had walked into the living room five minutes before announcing she had a job. For most people that didn’t mean dropping everything, but with Bianca, her jobs were usually a matter of life and death. And so Lawrence found himself on the back porch watching as his wife dug through a chest of weapons and other dangerous “toys”.
“Does this have to be tonight, Bianca?”
Bianca stopped and looked up. The look on her face was a mixture of affection and amusement as she replied, “You know as well as I that they are very good at what they do, Lawrence. I can’t afford to risk it. Do you want to join me?”
Lawrence smiled down at his wife. “Exactly where are we going, Bianca?”
“A little restaurant in San Francisco called The Manor. A little fancy for Ashlyn, but I don’t anticipate any immediate problems, so if you want we can make it a family dinner.” She gave him a flirty grin. “I hear the food is delicious.”
Lawrence shook his head, smiling. “If you don’t anticipate any immediate problems, then why can’t it wait until tomorrow?”
“I expect the attack will be tonight, when they are asleep. Vera is good. I’ve lost innocents to her before. I don’t particularly wish to chance that without giving them at least a warning and help if they want it.”
Lawrence nodded. “All right then. I’ll go get Ashlyn ready while you finish with your . . .” he waved his hand at the chest, “ . . . whatever that is.”
Bianca laughed. “You’d think that after all these years you would understand what this stuff was.”
He shrugged. “Perhaps I think it is better if I don’t. Will ten minutes be enough?”
“You can get Ashlyn ready in ten minutes? I’m impressed.”
He just smiled. “Ten minutes.”
She nodded. “Ten minutes.” She blew him a kiss as he headed toward the back door. When he was out of sight she went back to digging through her chest.

There are some things I like about this and some things I don't.
I love the idea of Prue coming back and them saving Billie and Christy instead of becoming murders, but I find it far to convenient that they would be so willing to give up their powers and leave forever.
Piper becoming a celebrity (the next Rachael Ray) is really cool, but I don't like the way it is implemented. Apparently it is at the cost of everything else, no love life, no family life. AKA, the same kind of life Prue had in Morality Bites, and Prue is encouraging this?
Unless they are passing around some kind of drugs, I couldn't really see Wyatt and Chris being happy with only seeing their mother on TV and apparently not seeing their father at all. Nor do I think they would be happy their father ran off with Mary Sue... I mean so other witch. I think it is kinda against human nature to believe just because their future selves failed with powers so would they.
I love what you did with Phoebe, so fitting and so deserved.
As fascinating as I find the idea that Paige is the reincarnation of Melinda Warren's daughter, I also find it very unrealistic. This would mean that the evil enchantress (Paige's know past life) would have been reincarnated into Melinda Warren's daughter. Why does the evil enchantress deserve a power upgrade? Hopefully this also gets explained in this story.

Biding Time
For the beings of the Underworld, vanquishing is a common threat, and easy to imagine. The consuming, fiery pain seconds before oblivion was exactly what she might have expected.
Being resurrected, on the other hand, is rare. Rare enough that it was not something she ever gave thought to (beyond occasionally wondering how that fool Barbas made such a habit of it).
Here is how it happened for her: First, oblivion. Then she is a sandstorm, dry and rough and turning, ever less chaotic, until in an instant, all the particles are drawn in, as if by an overwhelming magnetic force, and they become her self.
She is face to face with a boy. He is perhaps eleven years old and his stance is belligerent and demanding.

Piper is in the kitchen cooking. She throws a pancake into the air with the skillet and catches it successfully. She then turns around and turns off the grill showing lots of crispy bacon strips as she quickly takes the biscuits out of the oven and then finishes the pancakes.
Phoebe walks into the kitchen.
"Wow, something sure does smell good," Phoebe said as she marched into the kitchen carrying her laptop case. She had on a white blouse with her favorite white pants which she only wore to work.
"Yea," said Piper looking a little confused. "I thought you were at your apartment." "Oh," began Phoebe as she rested her elbows on the counter. "I was, but I thought I'd spend some time with my sisters after the whole Billie and Christy situation. You were sleep when I got here so me and Paige decided not to wake you."
"Talking about me," Paige waltzed into the kitchen with a big smile on her face wearing her most sunny and exuberant clothes. "No actually, but Hi," Piper said as she read her sister's facial expression. "I take it things went well with you and Henry last night."
"Yes. Well," Paige said, "Very well. In fact, I don't think it could have been any well, weller...." she finished with a distorted eyebrow for making up such a silly word. Piper laughed as she poured four glasses of orange juice. "If you keep having this much fun with Henry, we might have to buy you a dictionary."
Phoebe snorted as Paige noticed the number of glasses. "I thought Leo was off on his new job," she asked. "Wait, Leo's working again," Phoebe asked as she stood. "Yes and yes," Piper said. "Leo needed something to keep him busy and he also mentioned something about buying new parts for that rusted piece of-"
"History," Paige put in. Piper smirked, "In the garage." "Well who's the extra glass for," Paige asked. Piper looked up at her sister, Phoebe to answer that. "I asked Piper to make room for Coop," said Phoebe. "He's stopping by."
Paige made a flirty sound and nudged her sister, "So now he's eating at the breakfast table with the family. Someone call a cupid. Oh wait. He is." "Yes! He is," Phoebe trotted over to the table day dreamily, "And he is MY cupid." Piper served the breakfast and sat down. "So," Phoebe started. "Piper. Did you uh...think about forgiving Billie?"
Piper rolled her eyes and exhaled a rushed breathe. "Why do you guys insist on that I have this grudge against her." Paige looked up from her eggs benedict and gave Piper the "Are You Serious" look.
Piper put down her fork, "I might admit that what she did was terribly wrong, but I do get that she was manipulated. Even so, a person can jump back from that, and she did, but I'm just not so much in a hurry to invite her into this house anytime soon." "Piper, honey, it's okay. I've studied this in my psychology class," said Phoebe. "All you have to do is admit to Billie your true feelings and that wall of emotion-"
"Phoebe," Piper exclaimed, "I really don't need any psych lessons right now. I just want to eat. Is that so much to ask?" Just then Coop materialized in and noticed the tense atmosphere. "Ooh, saved by the heart," Paige teased as Coop kissed Phoebe, the love of his life.
They all ate breakfast peacefully with no further mention of Billie.

Leo is digging in a field of dirt sweating his head off. He rested for a bit and wiped his forehead with his glove. Looking up at the San Fransisco sun, he shielded his eyes.
Looking around him and below, it was clear that he had a lot of work to do. In spite of his fatigue he grabbed the shovel and went back to work. As he lifted the shovel and struck. He heard something. A clank. He dropped the shovel and digged a little with his hand until he uncovered a talisman. It was green and black and was in the shape of a weird symbol.
He picked it up and examined it, thinking it was supernatural. Leo's eyes began to get big as the talisman started to glow. And as it glowed, Leo's eyes momentarily turned purple.
He could see flashes of a man terrorizing a woman. The woman screamed and screamed while the terrible man stabbed her with an athame. She dropped to the floor next to another body. A male, he was dead also. The cruel man smiled in glory staring down at his victims. A tattoo on the man's arm was shown. It was the same symbol of the talisman.
Leo blinked as his eyes returned to normal. The talisman as well. His face was covered in shock. He had just had a premonition.

Thanks everyone I had a pretty good Birthday week. Dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then a family dinner at my Mom's house and my Dad's house. All in all, many birthday cakes ^_^
Sorry I've been MIA, but my computer has been a little worse for wear. I think its mostly fixed now (at least virus free) so I should be around a little more.

Welcome to Alternate Charmed, Patrick. I agree with Es that some of those are quite uniqie choices, but what would the world be like if everyone agreed on everything. Pretty boring I think. If you do have (or get) any finished fics I am very curious to see them, to see what kind of stories you come up with.
I had forgotten that we had RPs here, mostly because I am pretty aweful at RPs. Just ask my sister I have been in an RP with her for almost a year (started in September) and I think we are still on the first page . . . correction just checked, the latest post got us up to two pages. Seventeen posts.

Like Es, I'm also a fellow Midwesterner -- a Hoosier from the "Circle City", also known as Indy.
It's pretty quiet around here right now *watches as a tumbleweed blows down the street*, but I'm crossing my fingers that it will pick up soon, as we have a pretty interesting and fun group that likes to call AC home.
Speaking of interesting, those are definitely some interesting favorites you have in your profile -- not that that's a bad thing, of course! One of my favorite sayings is "different is good", and we love variety here.

ANY EXTRA INFO: My first Charmed RPG/Fan fic site was Charmed: RP Stories. I am also known on MANY Charmed rpg sites as well. As of right now, I'm trying to revive RP Stories as well as writing my own fan fic (trying). I have been watching Charmed for 11 years of my life, obsessed with it for about six or seven years. And been RPing Charmed for about six years, but have been RPing for 8. Hope I didn't confuse you.
Dario! It's always nice to see new faces on our site. Thank you so much for filling out a Welcome form, so we can get to know you. That's cool that you're from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hope you know that this is an English-speaking board, so if you format your fanfiction differently, you may want to find a beta who can format it for you.
I see that you're a Piper/Leo fan. So are a lot of the members here. You'll find a lot of fics that star them. Just check the following indexes: Charmed Ones Fanfiction and Charmed Ones Songfics.
As StoryGirl told you, new members are not allowed to post their fanfics as long as they're "newbies". We don't appreciate people who just pop in, post their own fics and pop out; we don't feel that's fair to our loyal members who have posted their own fics.
So while you're a newbie (your first ten posts), you can read and review fanfiction, you can read the other members' welcome posts and get to know them and reply to them or you can read and reply to the the topics in our Writer's Roundtable.
I really do hope you decide to read some of the fics first. It will give you an idea on how we set up our fanfictions and whether yours is a standalone, a chaptered fic, or a series.
Just remember what StoryGirl told you--they must be *completed* fics (although not necessarily a completed series, if you're doing series) and you *must* post the whole thing right away.
