GENERAL RULES for members of ALTERNATE CHARMED: All the Possibilities
Welcome to ALTERNATE CHARMED: All the Possibilities, a site for people who love to write and read completed Charmed fanfiction! We hope this new format for both fanfiction and RPGs will make it easy for:
Authors to post completed Charmed fanfiction.
Readers to be able to find, read and review completed Charmed fanfiction, and then the author to read and reply to those replies. Whether you are a reader or a writer of Charmed fanfiction, we hope you enjoy yourself while you're here!
PLEASE NOTE: This site is not meant to replace any Charmed discussion sites; please use those sites to discuss episodes, characters, etc. or play Charmed-related games.
If you're new to Charmed boards and would like to find one, we suggest The Charmed Cafe.
To make visiting this site an enjoyable time for everyone, please follow these simple rules:
1. When joining this site and filling out your profile, please choose one of the avatars from the Avatar Gallery; do not use your own. You may use your own signature if you like. Please try to keep the banners to the 500 x 200 size. Anything longer than 500 tends to break the page margins and makes the posts very hard to read.
PLEASE NOTE! Because one of the main goals of this site is to become friends with our members, we are including three very important rules:A) When coming up with a display name, please do not use the name of any Charmed character, either real or make believe. We would like members to simply be themselves, not try to be someone else, especially not one of the characters from Charmed. If you want to pretend that you are such a person, this isn't the site for you.
Members who disobey this rule will be warned and asked to change their screen name. If after 24 hours, that person posts again before changing their display name to fit the rules, that person will be banned from the site and all of their posts will be deleted.
B) We require that you give us a chance to get to know you by copying and completingTHE INTRODUCTION FORM into a new post at The Welcome Desk. Reading other forms will give you a chance to get to know your fellow authors/readers!
New members who post before filling out an Introduction Form will be warned.
Any member who posts again before filling out an Introduction Form after receiving the warning will be given a second warning.
Any member who posts again before filling out an Introduction Form after receiving the second warning will be banned and all of their posts deleted.
C) Once you have used to the Introduction Form to introduce yourself by a certain display name, please do not change it; that makes it hard to get to know you as a real person. You will not be banned for changing it, but you will be warned, and you will not be allowed to post any fanfiction. If you are a mod of any board or sub-board, your modship will be revoked until you change your display name back to what it originally was.
D) Each member is only allowed one identity on this site. We will be checking ISP addresses, and anyone who violates this rule will have any additional identities banned and all posts made by that additional identity deleted.
If you will be sharing a computer with a current member, before joining please have that member send a Personal Message to Alternate Charmed, so we know that there will be a second person using that address.
2. Once you've introduced yourself, you’re welcomed toreply to any other member's introduction form
post reviews to any fanfic--the authors love feedback However, before reviewing any fanfiction, please read RULES for REVIEWING FANFICTION
3. Any member who is banned from this site will not be allowed to come back under a new identity. Such a new identity will also be banned immediately. If a member deletes their identity for any reason, they will also not be allowed to come back under a new identity.
Please do not attempt to set up a second identity for any reason.
4. You will remain a newbie during your first 10 posts (including your Introduction Post). This will allow us to be sure that you are indeed a newbie and not simply an older or banned member trying to set up a new identity, which is expressly forbidden at this site.
During that time, you will not be able to post a new fanfiction. Once you become an Innocent, then you will be free to post as many as you wish, as long as you continue to follow the rules.
5. Do NOT use this site to recruit members to your own site! You may advertise your own site within your signature, but please do NOT welcome new members by asking them to join your own site and please do NOT send Private Messages to new members asking them to join your site. Members violating this rule will not receive a warning; they will simply be banned. If someone sends you a Private Message asking you to join their site, please copy the message and send it in a Private Message to Alternate Charmed.
6. WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR STAY AT OUR SITE!! Feel free to make any suggestions in the Suggestion Box. Before making your suggestion, please read Rules for Making Suggestions.
All reasonable suggestions will be considered; all unreasonable ones will be ignored or deleted.
