INDEX CARD
TITLE: Centennial Charmed - Phoebe's Memories
AUTHOR: Lexi
TYPE (one-shot, chapters, part of a series): One-Shot
RATING: (K, T, M, MA): K
LEAD CHARACTERS: Phoebe Halliwell, Cole Turner
ORIGINAL CHARACTERS: None
SHORT SUMMARY: For another contest, the idea was to take Centennial Charmed and write about one area (eg. How Cole became all powerful again, or how Paige died). I decided to write how Phoebe became how she was in CC, in her view. In the end, I was part of a three-way tie for first place.
I walked to Cole’s Penthouse, I never knew how he had gain this place. He had taken a new job as a lawyer for a very important law firm, a firm I had never heard of, and they had given him this Penthouse for his own personal use. I should have known then that there was something wrong with the whole set up but I was too busy helping my family, my sister needed me. That day was the day that my eyes were opened to what was going on.
The lift doors opened and I stepped into the main area of the Penthouse to see a large table with many people sat around it. At first I thought it was a large meeting for the law firm until I saw a hologram in the middle of the table.
“Cole?” I questioned, stepping forward as I recognised the person in the hologram. My eyes grew wide, I couldn’t say anything else or look away from the face on the screen.
“Phoebe!” I heard Cole’s voice but I still did not look away from the hologram.
“Wh-wh-what’s going on?”
“Could you excuse us?”
I could see out of the corner of my eyes as all the demons shimmered out. I should have known that Cole had not decided to get himself a human job, that he had given in to his demon half.
The hologram disappeared, causing my eyes to look up at Cole. I had no idea how to feel. Shocked, hurt, betrayed, scared, so many emotions ran through me.
“Cole.”
“Phoebe, I’m sorry, I didn’t want you to find out this way.”
“How did you want me to find out?” I asked him, “And what the hell was Darryl’s face doing in that hologram? Are you thinking of killing him? You better not be thinking…”
“What could you do to stop me, Phoebe?” Cole questioned me, his voice was dark and threatening, “Premonition me to death? There’s nothing else you can do without the Power of Three.”
I could not believe how much Cole had changed within the space of the last few months. I had not realised how much he had changed. My mind was racing and all I could do was stare at him, searching his eyes for answers to so many questions that I couldn’t voice.
“Cole, I love you.”
