Please Forgive Me

For the last few months, Cole has been missing Phoebe, and tonight, she let him inside. He has been wanting a second chance
with her. Across the room, he looks at her, looking so beautiful. That smile that sets his heart on fire. Those eyes, when they
look into his, mesmerizes him. He has come here for forgiveness. He wants those eyes full of love and happiness.
He gets up and goes and sits beside her. He grabs her hand than leans over & slightly kisses her lips. He tells her:
"It still feels like our first night together
Feels like the first kiss and it's gettin' better baby
No one can better this
I'm still holdin' on and you're still the one
The first time our eyes met - it's the same feelin' i get
Only feels much stronger - i wanna love ya longer
You still turn the fire on..."
He can feel Phoebe start to tremble. Her body shaking. He must have had some affect on her. But in which way he wonders.
Phoebe asked,"Why did you kiss me for?" Cole smiles and told her he couldn't resist her. She is beautiful, so sweet, and kind.
A woman any man could want. He knows she has been lonely. He can see it in her eyes. He doesn't want her lonely anymore.
"So if you're feelin' lonely ... don't
You're the only one I'd ever want
I only wanna make it good
So if I love ya a little more than i should..."
"Cole, let me go. We can't do this." Cole looks at her, trying not to get hurt by her words. He needs to show her how he feels, that they belong together.
"Please forgive me - i know not what i do
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you
don't deny me - this pain i'm going through
Please forgive me - if i need ya like i do
Please believe me - every word i say is true
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you"
Phoebe goes to say something, but Cole closes her mouth with a kiss. She tries fighting, but she feels her willpower slipping away. Cole remembers why he fallen in love with her. Why she is the only woman he ever wants. All of a sudden, she pushes him away and shakes her head. He can see she is trying not to cry, not realize that she still loves him. He continues with what he wants her to know.
"Still feels like our best times are together
Feels like the first touch
We're still gettin' closer baby
Can't get close enough
I'm still holdin' on - you're still number one
I remember the smell of your skin
I remember everything
I remember all your moves - i remember you
I remember the nights - ya know i still do"
Phoebe gets up and walks away from him. He follows her and twirls her around, as if they were dancing.
"So if you're feeling lonely... don't
You're the only one i'd ever want
I only wanna make it good
So if I love ya a little more than i should"
She nodded to that, afraid to speak. She can't get her heart involved again. She let him in the house for closure. Not to pick things up again. If he continues with these words though, and his kisses, she is going to fall in love all over again. She can't risk it. He is still a demon after all. She looks away, trying to not hear what he is telling her.
"Please forgive me - i know not what i do
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you
Don't deny me - this pain i'm going through
Please forgive me - if i need ya like i do
Please believe me - every word i say is true
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you"
She looks into his eyes. That was a mistake. She is feeling lost, hopeless, feelings she wanted to keep bottled up inside are revealing itself. She can tell in his eyes he knows how she is feeling.
She leans towards him, and ever so slightly, he kisses her.
After a moment, he pulls away. If he continues, his heart will burst.
Phoebe looks away out of embarrassment that she allowed such a thing to happen. Right after she tells him this can't happen between them as long as he is a demon. He sees her pulling away from him again. He loves her way too much to give up on them. So, he'll tell her in words instead.
"One thing i'm sure of - is the way we make love
And the one thing i depend on
Is for us to stay strong
With every word and every breath i'm prayin'
That's why i'm sayin'..."
She looks back at him, remembering the day they met. She was going to college, and he came up behind her & she almost kicked him, but he held her calf. She remembered her giggling inside, and blushing, lost of words. She smiled at the memory.
He sees her smiling. That warms his heart. So one last time, he tells her.
"Please forgive me - i know not what i do
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you
Don't deny me - this pain i'm going through
Please forgive me - if i need ya like i do
Never leave me - i don't know what i'd do
Please forgive me - i can't stop lovin' you"
Phoebe shakes her head, and knows why she loved him. She wants to forgive him. She asked,"Cole, I want you to know, I do love you. But, how can this work between us. You're a demon. Good & Evil can't work."
He tells her,"All we need is love, Phoebe, and I want to be good. I don't want to be evil anymore. I want you to show me. It never felt so good to save someone. Now, the people I want to save is us. Please, this can work out. You know in your heart it can."
She looks at him, and he is so handsome. She can tell he is sincere. She thinks about it, and realizes that he is right. What is the point of love if you don't take a risk. She is still worried, but, if she doesn't do this, she'll spend the rest of her life not knowing what would of happened if she didn't.
He looks into her eyes that are full of tears. "Cole, I forgive you. And Please forgive me, don't ever stop loving me. I still love you."
He has been wanting this for so long. He couldn't be any happier. He jumps in the air and lifts her up and twirls her all around the room. He ends the evening with a kiss and smiling wide, he carries her upstairs.
