Welcome Kernsux (couldn't agree more with this screen name). We are glad you are here and glad you are interested in the contest. Were writing is something you haven't done before, I would like to suggest you give a quick read in the writing tips forum, particularly the tips for beginners thread. There is plenty of great advice in there.

Hey, Kernsux! (And I'm with Aurora--that's one of the best screen names I've ever seen! ) to our site! Glad to know that you like it and are interested in "Who Wants to be a WitchWRITER?" Aurora's suggestion to check out the Writing Tips is great one, especially for the contest. I'm glad you've read some of the fics and have liked what you read. As for commenting, although most of the authors like longer reviews, just saying that you enjoyed it, so they know that you've read it and liked it is always appreciated.

I'm glad that you liked my advice. I hope it helps you. I'm sorry that the Mary Sue things scared you. It's not really that bad. I don't seem to have too much of a problem with that kind of character at least based off the test. It's just a guideline to help out. I had fun trying it out on my characters . . . after the first two or three got such low scores that at least one of them was in the "Why are you even taking this test?" range. That was funny.

I'm trying to remember who was the one that got that really low score. I think it was Toby. It helped that I haven't a clue what they guy does power wise, but only a little. I have a tendency to make sure my characters aren't prefect, that they are flawed, though I admit to being worried about my Xanthe. She had the whole odd name, odd eyes, and the best at something and that something was a power. She's one of my characters in my noncharmed stories. She's an almost eternal optomist. The believed death of her twin in one story cures her of that for the duration of his dissapearance. Oh, and she is definately someone I would like to be friends with and I would love to be like her. Those are all things that get points. Oh, and I am trying really hard to get someone to draw her. There's more points. I wouldn't try so hard if someone would just try. Good luck on your entry. I won't any questions . . . because I'm not supposed to know who did which.

Welcome kernsux! I'll ditto Aurora and Es -- that screen name totally rocks, and it's so completely true, too. Hope you enjoy yourself here and best of luck to you in the contest -- it should be lots of fun, and is definitely worth a try. Bethann -- that's fantastic advice. *grins*
